Strolling down Santa Monica's 3rd street promenade is a great way to spend a day. This famous pedestrian only street is wildly popular and is usually filled with visitors taking in the shops, restaurants and street performances.
The promenade itself spans three blocks on 3rd street between Broadway and Wilshire. You can find a multitude of shops and restaurants of all kinds.

The performers are often quashed together and are forced to compete. Sometimes in incredibly contrasting styles. Like these two groups in the above picture: A female solo singer accompanied by her (mini piano?) vs a couple of break dancers blasting beats!
