The LA Dodgers Are The Reigning NL West Champions, Come Out To Dodger Stadium And Think Blue!
The 2009 Season
Another NL West title and another NLCS Championship exit! Things were looking good after the Los Angeles Dodgers went 95 and 67 in the regular season and then swept the Cardinals in three staright. But in a repeat of last year, the annoying Phillies beat the boys in blue 3 games to 1.
As frustrating as that loss was, the LA dodgers were a great team to watch. 2009 was a breakout year for new stars Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp. With these two leading the charge next year, the Dodgers should repeat as NL West champions. Which is all fine and dandy but the key will be getting to the World Series!
It will be interesting to see how Manny Ramirez will step up next year after his 50 game suspension and his weak performance down the stretch. Thank god guys like Ethier, Kemp and Juan Pierre (who replaced Manny), were so stellar.
Going to Dodger Stadium is definitely one of my favorite things to do in LA. Kicking back on the top deck with 9 dollar tickets, a Dodger dog and the Southern California sun beaming down on you is special.
The fact that you can pick up Dodger tickets for relatively cheap is great when compared to some of the other Los Angeles attractions that charge an arm and a leg. Luckily you have Los Angeles Attractions.com to help you find the best deals! ;-)
Having said that, shelling out a few more bucks to go to a playoff game is definitely worth it. Prime example is when some friends and I went to game 2 of the division series against the Cardinals! It was the most exciting game for the Dodgers of the postseason.
After a Matt Holiday error the LA Dodgers, who were down to their last strike rallied and won it with a Mark Loretta walk off hit in the bottom of the 9th! Needless to say Dodger Stadium went wild!
While you can certainly get tickets tickets through ticketmaster or at Dodger stadium itself for regular season games at a decent price. The best ticket deals that I have found are through one of the best kept secrets in terms of Los Angeles attractions:
Goldstar.com offers amazing deals on almost all Los Angeles Attractions. It's free to sign up, literally takes only thirty seconds, and it can save you 50% off your ticket price. You should definitely take advantage of this, it's by far our favorite way of getting tickets in Los Angeles. We use them ourselves!
Also for getting the best seats that might not otherwise be available:
If you're looking for tickets to a big game that's already sold out, Stubhub.com is a great site! It's a subsidiary of Ebay that allows you to find both last minute tickets and elite seating.
If you're thinking of getting decked out at the game, with jerseys, hats etc... Prices at Dodger are not surprisingly through the roof! So a better idea might be ordering ahead of time. You can literally save up to 75% on exactly the same merchandise. And trust us, we've been there, after a few beers go down, that $250 Jeff Weaver jersey from the "official" store suddenly doesn't look like such a bad deal!!

Getting in and out of Dodger stadium can be a pain so give yourself a bit of time for parking. It usually takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk from your parking spot to the stadium itself.
Parking is 15$ for a regular car and 35$ for oversized vehicles.
There are several gates and entrances for parking.
Here is a link to directions to Dodger Stadium.
Dodger Stadium isn't particularly public transit friendly. How unlike LA! ;-)
I have taken the bus to the Sunset Gate and walked up to the stadium however. Saves you 15$...
Input your starting address in the metro trip planner and use Dodger Stadium as your destination and you can find the right buses to take.
